About Greenville Tree Removal Team

Locally owned and operated, serving Greater Greenville.

Greenville Tree Removal Team has served Greater Greenville with honest, reliable home services. We're licensed, insured, and local — every job is treated like it's our own home.

From small repairs to full installs, our crews show up on time, communicate clearly, and stand behind the work. No surprise fees, no shortcuts.

Greenville Tree Removal Team has been doing tree work in Greenville, SC for more than twenty years, across the South Carolina Upstate from the Southern Outer Piedmont around Greenville, Greer and Spartanburg out to the Southern Inner Piedmont toward Travelers Rest, Central and Clemson. Removals, pruning, stump grinding, land clearing and storm work — the ordinary trade, done carefully.

We are a working crew rather than a sales operation. The person who quotes your job has climbed, rigged and ground out enough of them in this region to know what it is going to involve before the estimate is written.

Our Approach

Worker rolling a southern red oak cull log off the truck onto cribbing in a Greenville work yard.

We read the ordinance for the city and the county the tree actually stands in. This service area crosses Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, Pickens and Laurens counties, and the answer to whether a tree is regulated changes at the line — so we establish the jurisdiction, check whether the parcel sits inside the Greenville-Spartanburg Airport Environs Area, and confirm which electric provider serves the address before quoting work anywhere near a line. None of those are assumptions worth making.

We also say what the state does and does not require. South Carolina issues no arborist license and requires none, so we will not describe ourselves as licensed for tree work; we would rather tell you plainly what is actually being asked of a contractor here. Pruning is worked to the objectives, systems and cut types the ANSI A300 standard defines, and we do not top trees. Rigging and work near energized conductors follow the ANSI Z133 safety requirements, including the weather limits that stop the job outright.

The rest is putting things in writing before we start. The inclusions — the trunk rounds, the stump, the grindings and the chips — are named on the estimate, and disposal is priced for the county the job is actually in, because one gate here charges by the cubic yard and the next by the ton. We will tell you up front that a city here will not collect contractor-cut brush, and that most programs stop at six inches, so the pile is ours to haul. Where a tree can be cabled, braced or pruned instead of removed, we quote that alongside the removal and let you compare the two.

Our storm planning is built on what the Upstate actually recorded, including the September 2024 hurricane, rather than a generic coastal script. And when a homeowner needs something to hand to a neighbor, an insurance adjuster or an HOA architectural review committee, we write a tree condition report they can hand over.

What We Do

Tree removal and crane-assisted removal, emergency and storm work, tree trimming and pruning, arborist assessment and reporting, stump grinding, tree limb and shrub removal, tree disease and decline diagnosis, tree planting, land clearing and forestry mulching, and the permit questions that come with all of it.
